b.bb… (2018)
for piano trio
Written for Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble at Tchaikovsky Academy.
“b.bb…" is the word “bubbles” with only “b” left, implying that all the bubbles mean to be broken, and there is the broken bubbles sound at the end of the piece…while everything before that was building up for that moment. Combined with the noise produced by the violin and cello with bubbles, these are the very subtle sound that the river wave produces when it’s being gentle and tranquil - right before or after the river is entirely silent.
